In the absence of a centralized federal database listing instances of misconduct, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is providing such data. We believe that it will lead to improved contracting decisions and public access to information about how the government spends hundreds of billions of taxpayer money each year on goods and services. Synopsis: A state court jury awarded $7 million award to Bonnie Anderson, who claimed she contracted peritoneal mesothelioma from laundering the asbestos-laden clothing of her husband, who worked at Exxon’s Linden Bayway Refinery in Linden, New Jersey, and from her employment at the refinery. The jury also awarded Anderson’s husband, John, $500,000. The Andersons were also awarded $1.8 million in prejudgment interest.
