In the absence of a centralized federal database listing instances of misconduct, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is providing such data. We believe that it will lead to improved contracting decisions and public access to information about how the government spends hundreds of billions of taxpayer money each year on goods and services. The violations, discovered in market conduct examinations covering the time period July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2009, included missing or incorrect information provided in policy forms, using rates not filed with the Division of Insurance, failing to pay claims within time frames required by Colorado law, using incorrect utilization review procedures, and failing to use correct procedures when terminating coverage.
