In the absence of a centralized federal database listing instances of misconduct, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is providing such data. Synopsis: The United States filed a lawsuit against BP Products North America alleging Clean Water Act violations for failing to prepare and implement an adequate Facility Response Plan (FRP) at BP’s petroleum terminal in Curtis Bay, Maryland, and for failing to develop and implement an adequate program of oil spill response drills/exercises. BP settled the lawsuit pursuant to a consent decree imposing a $210,000 civil penalty.
