In the absence of a centralized federal database listing instances of misconduct, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is providing such data. We believe that it will lead to improved contracting decisions and public access to information about how the government spends hundreds of billions of taxpayer money each year on goods and services. Synopsis: The Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board fined Boeing for 79 water pollution violations occurring between October 2004 and January 2006 at Boeing’s Santa Susana Field Laboratory in Simi Valley, California. According to the Board, the violations involved wastewater and storm water runoff discharges containing elevated levels of chromium, dioxin, lead, mercury and other pollutants that entered Bell Creek, which is a tributary to the Los Angeles River, and the Arroyo Simi.
