In the absence of a centralized federal database listing instances of misconduct, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is providing such data. We believe that it will lead to improved contracting decisions and public access to information about how the government spends hundreds of billions of taxpayer money each year on goods and services. Synopsis: Tracy Barker worked for Halliburton’s former subsidiary Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) in Iraq from July 2004 to September 2005. She claimed that while working there she was harassed, sexually harassed and assaulted, and retaliated against when she complained. In August 2007, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission determined that Barker had been forced to endure a sexually hostile work environment and that KBR retaliated against her in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Barker filed a lawsuit in federal court, which was dismissed and sent to arbitration. In November 2009, the arbitrator awarded Barker $2.9 million.
