In the absence of a centralized federal database listing instances of misconduct, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is providing such data. We believe that it will lead to improved contracting decisions and public access to information about how the government spends hundreds of billions of taxpayer money each year on goods and services. Synopsis: Abraham Lesnik, a former Boeing engineer who specialized in anti-missile systems, pleaded guilty in July 2008 to taking classified documents home. Until 2007, Lesnik worked at Boeing's El Segundo facility where he worked on a partially classified project under contract with the Department of Defense. He pleaded guilty to a federal felony charge of unauthorized possession of defense information. Prosecutors alleged he repeatedly downloaded sensitive information onto a thumb drive which he then took home. His sentencing is scheduled for October 2008. As part of his plea agreement, prosecutors agreed not to seek a prison term of more than five years.
