Gulf IntraCoastal Constructors (GIC) is a joint venture between Kiewit Corporation and Traylor Bros., Inc., formed to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the construction of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway West Closure Complex (GIWW WCC), a $1 billion project designed to minimize the risk of storm surges across the west bank area near New Orleans. The project is scheduled for completion by June 2011.
