Headquartered in New York City, L-3 Communications (renamed L3 Technologies in 2016) provides intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, secure communications systems, aircraft modernization, training and government services. The company provides a variety of high technology products, including guidance and navigation, sensors, scanners, fuzes, data links, propulsion systems, simulators, avionics, electro optics, satellite communications, electrical power equipment, encryption, signal intelligence, antennas and microwave components. Its customers include the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, US intelligence agencies and aerospace prime contractors. In October 2018 it was announced that L3 Technologies would merge with Harris Corporation to create a new company, L3 Harris Technologies.
