SAIC (Science Applications International Corporation) is a scientific, engineering and technology applications company. It works extensively with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, and the intelligence agencies. In 2013, SAIC split into two separate companies—the former SAIC changed its name to Leidos, and it spun off a government services firm that retained the SAIC name, which is also a leading government contractor.
