McMillan et al. v. General Dynamics (False Claims on Navy Aircraft and Submarine Parts)
General Dynamics and its subsidiary, General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products Inc. (GDATP), settled allegations that GDATP fraudulently billed the government for parts used in Navy aircraft, including the C-141 transport plane, and Los Angeles and Trident Class submarines. The government alleged that between September 2001 and August 2003, GDATP defectively manufactured or failed to test the parts and billed the Navy even though the parts did not meet military specifications. As part of the settlement, neither General Dynamics nor GDATP admitted or denied wrongdoing.
