Chomyn v. Force Protection (False Claims on JERRV Contract)

Two former employees filed lawsuits under the False Claims Act alleging Force Protection failed to comply with the terms of the Cougar Joint EOD Rapid Response Vehicles (JERRV) contract in respect to the allocation and use of the initial contract milestone payment for accelerated delivery costs. In August 2006, the company settled with the government for a total of $1,905,000 plus interest of $23,000.
