Hayes v. The Interpublic Group of Companies (Age Discrimination)
George T. Hayes, Jr., a former executive at Interpublic Group’s McCann-Erickson agency, sued the company for age discrimination. Hayes, age 53 and a 30-year McCann veteran, claims he was unlawfully dismissed in February 2006 because of his age. The lawsuit was settled in November 2008 for an undisclosed amount (Hayes sought $30 million in damages in his original complaint).
