Omstead v. Dell (Defective Notebook Computers)
A class-action lawsuit filed in California alleged that Dell designed, manufactured, and sold defective notebook computers. The lawsuit alleged that certain Dell notebook models were designed and manufactured with uniform and inherent defects concerning the cooling system, power supply and motherboard. The lawsuit settled in 2010.
