Martin v. Halliburton, et al. (Wrongful Death)
Kristen Martin’s father, Donald Tolfree, was killed by friendly fire while driving a truck for KBR in Iraq in February 2007. Martin asserted claims of wrongful death, fraud and conspiracy against KBR and Halliburton for their actions in recruiting Tolfree, executing the convoy operation, and misrepresenting the cause of his death. In 2011, the court dismissed all of Martin’s claims, except for intentional infliction of emotional distress. The lawsuit settled in 2012.
