McChord AFB False Claims

Chugach Management Services, Inc. agreed to pay the federal government $822,000 to settle alleged overbilling on a contract to build security fences at McChord Air Force Base in Washington State. Chugach allegedly billed the government for a more expensive type of steel that was not actually used in the construction of the fences. According to the government, the settlement amount is double the amount of the alleged overbilling. Chugach Management Services did not admit any wrongdoing.
