Mansourian et al. v. Univ. of California (Sex Discrimination)

Arezou Mansourian and other female former students at the University of California, Davis (UCD) sued the school under Title IX for UCD’s alleged unfair treatment of women with regard to the school’s varsity wrestling team in 2000 and 2001. The plaintiffs brought claims of being wrongly excluded from the team and being denied the same opportunities as men. In February 2012, plaintiffs Mansourian, Christine Ng, and Lauren Mancuso settled with UCD for $1.35 million in attorneys’ fees and costs.
