Arizona Insurance Law Violations

The Arizona Department of Insurance fined Health Net for a series of health insurance law violations in 2007 and 2008 involving health care appeals, claims handling and health care provider grievances. The state ordered Health Net of Arizona, Inc., and Health Net Life Insurance Company to pay civil penalties of $83,500 and $153,000, respectively, and to take immediate action to correct health care appeals and claims handling violations and healthcare provider grievances.
