April 2010 Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill (Securities Litigation)

A class of pension plans and investors around the country filed a lawsuit alleging that the BP misled investors about the company’s capacity to prevent and manage the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, causing a sharp decline in BP’s share price and tremendous financial losses to shareholders.
