April 2010 Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill (BSEE Citations)

The Department of Interior’s Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE).cited BP, Halliburton, and Transocean for safety and environmental violations stemming from the April 2010 explosion of the Deepwater Horizon and Gulf of Mexico oil spill. A total of 15 Incidents of Non-Compliance (INC) were issued by faxed letters to BP, Halliburton, and Transocean. The INCs will be reviewed for possible imposition of civil penalties once the appeal period has ended.
