Property Tax Computer System Contract
The City of Baltimore filed a lawsuit against Unisys, alleging the company breached a contract to create a property tax computer system called the Integrated Property Tax System (IPTS). The City claimed that it paid more than $8 million to Unisys, which failed to deliver a fully functional and integrated system. Unisys counter-sued, alleging improper contract termination and lost profits. In April 2015, it was reported that Unisys agreed to pay the City $4.8 million to settle the lawsuit.
