ANHAM FZCO v. Exelis Systems Corp. (Breach of Contract)

Dubai-based logistics company ANHAM FZCO sued Exelis Systems Corporation to recover $1.8 million allegedly owed on a Department of Defense contract for infrastructure maintenance services in Afghanistan. ANHAM, which worked as a subcontractor on the contract, alleged that Exelis wrongly withheld payment for services rendered and caused ANHAM to incur economic damage by delaying the start date. The lawsuit alleged breach of contract, unjust enrichment, fraudulent inducement of contract, and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing. In November 2013, both parties reached a confidential settlement.
