Ethnic Discrimination Department of Transportation Settlement

The United States Department of Transportation (DOT) reached a settlement with United Airlines over the alleged unlawful removals of Arab, Arab-American, Muslim, and South Asian passengers from flights based on their perceived religion, ethnicity, or national origin. As part of the settlement, Untied agreed to provide annual civil rights training to its employees for three years at a cost of at least $1.5 million.
