Texas City Refinery Illegal Emissions – 2011 Settlement of Texas Enforcement Actions

BP Products North America agreed to pay the State of Texas $50 million to resolve charges of violating state environmental protection laws stemming from the March 2005 explosion at BP’s Texas City refinery and a flare occurring at the refinery from April 6 to May 16, 2010.
