April 2010 Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill – Maryland AG Lawsuit

The Maryland Attorney General alleges BP’s false and misleading statements about its commitment to safety reforms and oil spill prevention and response capabilities led to investment losses in Maryland’s pension system following the April 2010 Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill. The lawsuit covers investments of BP shares purchased by the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System between November 2007 and April 2010.
