Strauch et al. v. Computer Sciences Corporation (Overtime Pay Class Action)

A nationwide class action lawsuit accused CSC of violating federal and state employment laws by failing to pay overtime to its system administrators. The complaint alleged that CSC misclassified system administrators as exempt from overtime pay and failed to pay them for all hours actually worked. In December 2017, a jury found in favor of the plaintiffs. In August 2019, the court awarded plaintiffs f $18.8 million in damages. In July 2020, the court ordered CSC to pay an additional $8 million in attorneys’ fees and costs.
