Stevenson v. FedEx (Retaliatory Discharge)

A federal court found that FedEx Ground Package System violated the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Act with a policy requiring employees to call their supervisor before seeking medical treatment for a work-related injury. The ruling was made in a lawsuit filed by former FedEx employee Joenathan Stevenson, who was fired in 2011 for failing to notify his supervisor before seeking medical attention for a sore back.
