Koliner v. FedEx (Delivery Truck Fatality)

The father of David Koliner, who was struck and killed by a FedEx delivery truck in Vero Beach, Florida, in December 2013, sued the company. The lawsuit claims the FedEx driver was looking down and accelerating when he struck Koliner, who was riding a bike near his home. The lawsuit also claims the driver had ingested hydrocodone, for which he did not have a prescription, and did not possess a valid commercial driver’s license. The lawsuit attributes blame to FedEx for pressuring drivers to complete deliveries as quickly as possible.
