McMahon v. General Dynamics (Defective M2 Machine Gun)
Army Pvt. Sean McMahon, who was injured in 2010 when his M2 .50 caliber Browning machine gun jammed and exploded in his hands, filed a product liability lawsuit against the manufacturer of the gun, General Dynamics. McMahon claimed that the M2 malfunctioned and that General Dynamics was liable under theories of manufacturing defect and failure to warn. In October 2014, McMahon settled with General Dynamics.
