Decker v. GE Healthcare (Omniscan Products Liability)

Paul Decker claims he suffers from nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF), a painful skin disease, as a result of being injected with GE Healthcare’s MRI imaging dye Omniscan (also known as Gadodiamide). Decker claimed GE hid the dangers of Omniscan from the public and did not warn doctors of possible side effects. In March 2013, a federal jury awarded Decker and his wife $5 million in damages. GE has reportedly settled out of court hundreds of other Omniscan cases in recent years (see General Electric instance “Omniscan Litigation”).
