Alex v. General Electric (Racial and Sexual Discrimination)

Yvonne Alex alleges she was a victim of racial and sexual harassment and discrimination while employed at GE Energy. She claims that she had to endure a consistently hostile work environment in which white male co-workers circulated white supremacist literature, told sexist and racist jokes, used racial epithets, and displayed racially offensive and pornographic items around the workplace. Alex claims she was marginalized, had her overtime hours cut, and was ultimately terminated because she complained about her treatment.
