Synergy H Industries v. Halliburton Energy Services (Breach of Contract)

Truck manufacturer Synergy H Industries, LLC claims that Halliburton allowed another company to copy Synergy’s proprietary designs for a wireline truck, a type of truck used in the oil and gas drilling industry. Synergy began manufacturing wireline trucks for Halliburton in 2005 and claims it sold Halliburton the trucks with the understanding that Synergy maintained ownership of its designs. Synergy claims that another company, at Halliburton’s urging, built two wireline trucks that were nearly identical to Synergy’s design.
