Russian Bribery Investigation – German Prosecution
It was reported that German prosecutors named Hewlett-Packard in a criminal bribery case against current and former employees accused of paying $10 million in kickbacks to win a contract to sell computers to Russia. The German prosecutors reportedly asked a court in Leipzig to attach Hewlett-Packard to the case, which could lead to fines and other penalties if the court finds that the company benefited from the scheme.
