Concentra Potential HPAA Violations
Humana subsidiary Concentra Health Services paid $1.7 million to resolve potential violations of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and security rules. The settlement stems from a November 2011 incident in which an unencrypted laptop containing electronic protected health information was stolen from a Concentra facility, the Springfield Missouri Physical Therapy Center.
