Graves v. Humana (Medicare Overbilling)

Olivia Graves filed a False Claims Act lawsuit alleging that Humana overbilled the government for treating elderly patients enrolled in its Medicare Advantage plans in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The lawsuit alleged that a doctor at the Plaza Medical Centers clinic inflated billings for dozens of Humana patients between 2005 and 2010 by falsifying their diagnostic codes. The lawsuit settled in October 2017 for a reported $3 million.
