Maseth v. KBR (Iraq Electrocution)
The parents of U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Ryan Maseth filed a wrongful death lawsuit alleging that KBR was responsible for the death of their son, who was electrocuted in January 2008 while taking a shower at the Radwaniyah Palace Complex in Baghdad. The plaintiffs alleged that KBR, the building maintenance contractor at the base, knew about various electrical hazards at the base but did not fix them or warn personnel stationed there. The lawsuit was settled out of court in December 2016.
