Miller v. Raytheon (Age Discrimination)
A Texas federal jury found that Raytheon willfully violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act when it fired 53-year-old employee Richard Miller and failed to rehire him. The jury’s $17 million damage award was later reduced by the trial court and appellate court to approximately $1.5 million in damages and fees.
