Hanson v. Raytheon (Discrimination, Whistleblower Retaliation)
Herbert Hanson, a former engineer at Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems division in El Segundo, California alleged that the company encouraged employees to falsely bill work hours to the federal government. Hanson, who is from Nigeria, also claimed that his supervisors conspired to force him out of the company through harassment based on his race and national origin and because of his refusal to participate in the alleged unlawful activities. The parties settled the lawsuit in 2014.
