Cherry v. Shaw Coastal, et al. (Sexual Harassment)
Former Shaw Coastal employee John Cherry alleged that a male colleague sexually harassed him for six months in 2007 at his in Livingston Parish, Louisiana workplace and that he was forced to quit his job after the company failed to address his harassment claims. Cherry won a $500,000 judgment against Shaw at trial in July 2010, an amount that was later reduced to $50,000 by the judge. In May 2013, the parties reached a confidential out-of-court settlement.
