Jenks v. New Hampshire Motor Speedway, et al. (Defective Golf Carts)
Roderick Jenks suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2006 when he thrown from the back of a Textron-manufactured golf cart at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He alleged that Textron knew that its E-Z-Go golf cart was defective in its design and manufacture, in that it was unstable and unwieldy due to a high center of gravity, and that the company failed to alert users that it was dangerous and unsafe to operate the cart with a passenger on the back of the cart. In July 2012, the case settled for an undisclosed amount.
