Falsifying Records on USTRANSCOM Contract

Maersk Group subsidiaries Farrell Lines, Incorporated and DAMCO USA, Inc. paid the federal government $3.66 million in civil penalties for violating the terms of a contract with the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) to transport cargo into and out of Afghanistan. USTRANSCOM discovered that 563 cargo weight tickets submitted by Farrell and its subcontractor, DAMCO, to support billing invoices were not authentic.
