Unjustified Dismissal of Japanese Employees
The Tokyo District Court invalidated IBM Japan Ltd.’s firing of five employees in 2012 and 2013, ruling that the dismissals were unjustified. The court found that the employees had been dismissed without being given a proper opportunity to improve their work operation. It ordered IBM to fully compensate the former employees for unpaid wages and bonuses.
