Sexual Harassment at the Central Arizona Correctional Facility

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) alleged GEO Group allowed a female correctional officer at the Central Arizona Correctional Facility in Florence, Arizona to be sexually harassed. The EEOC alleged that certain male officers sexually harassed Roberta Jones and then retaliated against her for having participated in a prior EEOC lawsuit against the company, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. In August, 2017, GEO agreed to pay $60,000 to settle the lawsuit.
