Defense Support Services Discrimination Charges
Three female employees of Defense Support Services LLC, a subsidiary of Pacific Architects and Engineers, filed charges of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation at the company’s Fort Carson, Colorado, facility. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued reasonable-cause findings with respect to the allegation of retaliation. Under the terms of a conciliation agreement, Defense Support Services denied wrongdoing and/or liability but agreed to comply with all requirements under the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, conduct equal employment opportunity training, and pay an unspecified monetary settlement to the employees.
