Misuse of Government Equipment
The Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) found that a SAIC employee working on a contract supporting the National Counterterrorism Center excessively used his government internet account for personal and inappropriate purposes. The ICIG estimated that, between 2006 and 2012, the employee misused approximately 95 percent of his Internet usage time—more than 10,000 hours—at a total cost to the government of more than $925,000.
