Monopolistic Pricing Behavior in China

China fined a General Motors joint venture, SAIC General Motors Corp., 201 million yuan (US$29 million) for alleged monopolistic pricing behavior. Shanghai’s pricing regulator alleged that the joint venture had reached a monopoly agreement with its dealers, setting a floor on prices of several car models.
