Hoosick Falls, NY Pollution Village Board Settlement

The Village of Hoosick Falls, NY entered into a preliminary settlement agreement with Honeywell International and Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics for reimbursement of costs relating to contamination of the water system and private wells with perfluorooctanoic acid. Under the agreement, which must be approved by village trustees, both companies would pay between $850,000 and slightly over $1 million without admitting any liability or wrongdoing.
