Gary/Chicago Airport Hazardous Waste Cleanup

The Gary/Chicago International Airport Authority filed a lawsuit seeking to hold Honeywell International responsible for an estimated $2.5 million in past and future hazardous waste cleanup costs at the airport. The lawsuit alleges Honeywell stored large quantities of various hazardous waste to a site adjacent to the airport, which then migrated onto the airport’s property.
