False Marketing of Negative Pressure Wound Treatment Devices

Innovative Therapies and its parent company, Cardinal Health, paid $2.7 million to settle False Claims Act allegations that the companies caused the submission of false claims to Medicare through the marketing of certain negative pressure wound treatment devices as durable medical equipment when they did not meet the standards for a durable device.
