Pennington v. Fluor (Unpaid Wages)
Harry Pennington III, a former worker at the VC Summer Nuclear Station in Jenkinsville, South Carolina, sued Fluor for unpaid wages and other benefits for himself and approximately 5,000 other employees who were laid off in July 2017 when construction on the facility was stopped. The lawsuit claims that the cessation of salaries and benefits was improper because the project was shut down without 60 days advanced written notice, as required by federal law.
