Faulty Ignition Switches – Multistate Settlement

General Motors agreed to pay $120 million to resolve claims by 49 states and the District of Columbia that GM concealed safety issues related to faulty ignition switches in several vehicle models that could cause engines to stall and prevent airbags from deploying in crashes.
